Eligible first-year medicine students can apply for the Accelerated Three-Year Family Medicine Track.

Rural Medicine Pathway

Become a scholar in rural medicine, provide service to rural communities, and champion rural health care systems in the Rural Medical Education Pathway.

Urban Medicine Pathway

Serve the needs of the diverse communities in Northeast Ohio and beyond through the NEOMED-CSU Partnership for Urban Health.


Students graduating from this program will:

  • Have a strong interprofessional education to provide the very best care for their patients as a member of an integrated health care team
  • Have an understanding of and experience with the diverse patients to whom they will administer care
  • Hone clinical skills through participation in experiences and clerkship rotations throughout northern and central Ohio in a distinctive community-based physician education model
  • Enter residencies, world-ready, in a variety of primary care and specialty practice areas committed to improving community health in a leadership role
